FAQ
1.What is the basalt?
Basalt is a dense or foam like rock solidified by the cooling of volcanic lava. It belongs to magmatic rocks in the classification of geological rocks.
The main components of basalt are silica, aluminium trioxide, iron oxide, calcium oxide and magnesium oxide. Among them, silica is the most abundant, accounting for about 45 to 50 percent of the basalt color. The most common basalt color is black, dark brown or dark green. Because of its compact texture, its specific gravity is heavier than that of ordinary granite, limestone and shale.
2.What is the sandstone?
Sandstone is a kind of sedimentary rock, which is mainly cemented by various sand grains. The diameter of sand grains is 0.05-2 mm. Among them, the content of sand grains is more than 50%. Its structure is stable. It is usually light brown or red. It mainly contains silicon, calcium, clay and iron oxide. Most sandstones are composed of quartz or feldspar.
3.What is the slate?
Slate is a kind of metamorphic rock with slate structure and no recrystallization. The original rock is argillaceous, silty or neutral tuff, which can be stripped into thin sheets along the direction of slate. The color of slate varies with the impurities it contains.
Slate is a characteristic plate structure. The shallow metamorphic rocks are formed by slight metamorphism of clayey, silty sedimentary rocks, intermediate-acid tuffaceous rocks and sedimentary tuffaceous rocks.
